We were approached by the client to help design and deliver a distinctive corporate retreat for the senior leadership teams of an international health insurance company.

This event required a change from our usual retreats, as the client aimed to position their AGM as a corporate retreat without losing too much 'business focus' time. The goal was to create an experience aligned with the theme of promoting the 'Athlete Mindset.'

To achieve these objectives, we condensed our usual timetable of team-building activities down to one single large, fun and entertaining activity, allowing us to concentrate our time budget on providing highly effective educational seminars and inspirational speakers throughout the event.

Event Objectives & Solutions

1. Unite Global Leaders

To facilitate collaboration and idea-sharing among global leaders, we managed every detail, including;

• Venue Vetting, Selection, and Booking: We secured a luxurious country manor and spa in Wales, providing an inspiring and relaxing environment.
• Conference Facilities and Room Design: We designed and set up state-of-the-art conference facilities to support productive meetings and presentations.
• Accommodation Arrangements: Ensured all attendees were comfortably housed on-site.
• Travel Logistics: Coordinated seamless travel arrangements for all participants.
• Menu Planning: Developed a nutritious and delicious menu to keep energy levels high.
• Entertainment Activities: Organised engaging evening entertainment to promote relaxation and networking.

2. Promote Health & Wellbeing

To emphasise the link between health, wellbeing, and workplace performance, we organised;

• Educational Seminar: A one-hour session led by a panel of health and wellbeing experts. The seminar explored the connection between personal health and workplace performance, encouraging leaders to take personal responsibility for their health and how to inspire their teams to do the same.

3. Promote the 'Athlete Mindset'

To instil an 'Athlete Mindset' in approaching projects, we organised;

• Inspirational Speakers: Three renowned speakers from diverse sporting backgrounds delivered 30-minute talks spread throughout the two-day event. Each talk, titled 'The Athlete Approach',' focused on drawing parallels between athletic discipline and business success.
